Only the amount paid through the payment gateway counts. Vouchers, shopping credit, commission credit, shipping and engraving fees are all excluded, and the figure must be reached in one receipt rather than several added together.
A tier runs for a set period from the day it is reached. Another qualifying receipt within that period renews it and resets the clock. Miss it and the account falls to the highest tier the year's spending still qualifies for.
A short window after the renewal date, set by us, in which a tier can still be renewed. Benefits and referral earnings are suspended during it, and restored in full the moment a qualifying receipt goes through.
Credit earned from an order is taken back if that order is returned, refunded or cancelled. Where the balance no longer covers it, later credit offsets the shortfall before becoming spendable.
